Third quarter 2025: Positive performance despite uncertainties
Overall, the financial markets delivered positive returns in the third quarter of 2025. Funds that invest in shares in particular have increased in value, despite ongoing uncertainty in the world and trade tensions between countries.
Technological developments in artificial intelligence (AI) led to rising prices. This growth came mainly from US companies, which are investing heavily in AI. As a result, prices there rose more sharply than in Europe.
At the beginning of this year, prices fell sharply due to President Trump's trade policy. In the past quarter, we saw a recovery in emerging countries, partly due to renewed trade talks between the US and China.
